OUR SOLUTION TO FIGHTING WASTE : Mökki

While others may dream of rockets landing on Mars and new planets to inhabit, here at Mökki we are a bit more down to earth (literally!) and dream of a world free from waste. Of course planet Mars might be cool, but we’d rather stick around on earth a little bit more if you don’t mind ! 🌿👀

That’s why we created Mökki, our very own solution to the huge problem of tons of trashes pilling up in landfills all around the world or being purely and simply incinerated. And if we can help out a few planet earth inhabitants as well we are not saying “no” !
With Mökki we keep it simple : You empty your cabinets and closets, and we take care of the rest. All while keeping it true to our values to build a more sustainable world.

WE ARE THROWING AWAY WAYYYY TOO MUCH CLOTHES

Every second, we are thowing away the equivalent of one truck full of clothes¹. Can you imagine ?? They end up pilling up in landfills all around the world or being purely and simply incinerated.

WE ARE POLLUTING PLANET EARTH

100 billion of clothes are sold every single year, that’s roughly 2 % of carbon emissions worldwide. Its represents more than international flights and boat transportation combined ! ²

... AND OCEANS !

20% of ocean polluting is linked to textiles dying and overall production process.² Not the best of news, right ?!

We are living in a consumers’ world. Sounds great, right ?! Well… For years we’ve been happy to buy, use and trash. And do it again. And do it again. And do it again 🧨 🙀

Then one day we discovered that all the waste created by us didn’t really disapear by magic (sad, and even tragic as it is, but true) Worse, our trash is either pilling-up somewhere in the world, burnt… or buried in the ground ! And all this process pollutes our world a lot and creates CO2, which in return turns into global warming, which turns into famines, natural disasters and droughts, fires etc.

Well, you got the idea.

Your mission (should you decide to accept it): building with us a new way to live and use your daily life items thanks to circular economy. Polluting less, sharing more, recycling and reusing more. Welcome to the party ! ♻️ ✌️
